Paul Haze received his dance training in New York at the High School of Performing Arts, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and received a B.F.A. in Dance from SUNY at Purchase.

He danced with the companies of Martha Graham, Kazuko Hurabayashi, Fred Benjamin, and the Golden State Ballet. He also appeared on Broadway, TV, and the film “The Wiz” starring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross.

He was assist choreographer to Talley Beaty and Alvin Ailey, creating work for the Royal Danish Ballet Company, the Corpo de Ballo at La Scala, the Alvin Ailey Company and countless others. He is a choreographer in his own right, choreographing for Broadway, TV and film, and various companies in Europe. He had his own company “PhaZe1” based in Germany.

As a teacher he has taught worldwide and is currently teaching at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. He will be presenting his first work on the company in the spring of 2006.
