Genova-born Paola Cantalupo has been passionate about dance from her childhood, which she spent in Milan. Having entered the Scala Theatre Ballet School at the age of 11, she then started dancing in the corps de ballet and was awarded the Prix de Lausanne Gold Medal in 1977.
Following a career as Principal Dancer with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, he has combined his dance experience with a degree as osteopath and now directs the Dancers Health Clinic in Cannes, France. Coach for numerous dancers preparing them for international competitions and professional careers.
Currently teaching at Deutsche Oper am Rhein and there he will be presenting his works of the company. After dancing both with The Martha Graham and Alvin Ailey companies, he became assistant choreographer to A. Ailey and created works for Royal Danish Ballet and La Scala in Milano.
An exponent of the Italian school, she was both examiner and Artistic Director of The Checchetti Society until 2000 when she joined The Royal Ballet School in London, where she now is Principal Teacher. Contributor to many dance publications. Principal dancer at Capab Ballet Comp.
Principal dancer with the Royal Danish Ballet with a wide repertory in the classical and contemporary ballets. As a teacher his focus is the Bournonville school and repertory as well as co-directing specific performances. Has received many prestigious awards in recognition of his talent. Currently Artistic Director of The Joffrey Ballet´s Academy of Dance. Graduated from Bolshoi Ballet Academy also with a degree in Pedagogy and Choreography. After touring internationally with Bolshoi Ballet and Moscow Festival Ballet as principal, he remained in Europe and later in the USA dancing all leading classical roles with all major companies.
An international solo touring artist. Performed w/ Elisa Monte Dance , The Limon Comp. Phoenix Dance Theater (UK). Faculty member at The Alvin Ailey School, NY, Nat. School of the Arts (South Africa) Steps on Broadway and holds advanced Diplomas in Tap, Jazz and Ballet through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Deputy Artistic Director for The Royal Danish Ballet since 2011 following an outstanding career as principal dancer with the company. Covering the full range of the classical repertory she also danced the Bournonville repertory, as well as neo classical ballets by such choreographers as Balanchine and Neumeier.

She is a highly esteemed modern Spanish dancer and choreographer. In spite of her young age, she has won numerous prestigious awards for her modern approach to the classical Flamenco such as ”Best dancer of 2011”. With a Spanish father and a Danish mother she grew up in Spain studying both Ballet and Flamenco.
Following her professional dance career she became a certified Pilates and Gyrotonic & Gyrokinesis instructor. Besides having her own Studio she also teaches for The Royal Danish Ballet School and help the company dancers in rehabilitating after injuries. In 2008 she published her book Pilates and Nutrition.
